Inward Rounding Issue - Rounding to Zero

Hi,

SOLIDWORKS Professional 2024 SP5.0

PROBLEM: I am dual dimensioning a hole with millimeters as the primary and inches as the secondary. My value is Ø3.15±0.15 [.1240 ± .0059]. I want to take advantage of the "inward rounding" option. But when I do it rounds the secondary tolerance to zero Ø3.15±0.15 [.1240 ± .0000]. In Document Properties > Dimensions I set primary and dual precision to .12345678 for nominal and tolerance. In Document Properties > Units I set  Basic Units > Length and Dual Dimension Length to .12345678. I still get zero - returns Ø3.15000000±0.15000000 [.12400000 ± .00000000]. Also in Document Properties > Units I tried every option under Decimal Rounding - but still got zero.

The best I can tell is that inward rounding floors to the nearest 0.01 in. Based on these values with inward rounding enabled:

±0.508 mm = ± .020 in

±0.507 mm = ± .010 in

±0.254 mm = ± .010 in

±0.253 mm = ± .000 in

Is there another setting I am missing that effects how the inward rounding works?

Thank you,

-Royce
