I conceed that posting an autodesk inventor API question inthe Solidworks API forum is a little unusual, but...
Has anyone worked with the Inventor API? I don't own a copy ofinventor and don't plan to. As you may be aware, the solidworksDocument manager API does not require solidworks to be installed,etc...this is great if you want to make a simple file mgmt relatedapp without having to fire up solidworks in the background.
my research thus far indicates to me that one must have Inventor or"Inventor view" installed on a machine in order to use the Inventor"Apprentice" API.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I think the sw doc mgr api is pretty handy...props to solidworksfor making that available...
thanks
