hi all,
i am creating large linear patterns of solar panel arrays up to6000 panels for example. these are very simple entities, planarsurfaces to be exact. in some models, i need to removed perhaps upto half of the instances to avoid obstacles on roofs etc.
i have 2 options to remove instances, "suppress" or use the pattern"instances to skip" option. the first is by far the fastest as ican window the instances to remove. the latter is dreadfullytediuos and very time consuming as SW does not allow windowing ofthe instances, only single mouse clicks.
althought suppressing is very fast, it is very difficult to go backand edit the layout as finding the desired entity to unsuppress isdifficult. where as "instances to skip" provides a "dot" over thethe skipped instances and thus is easy to "unskip" the desiredinstance.
are there other ways to do this efficiently?
thanks,
