I was given a model with a surface at a 20deg angle to the top plane that I needed to dimension. After making my view normal to this surface I used "current view" to bring the model into the drawing then dimensioned from this view.

Only problem is the dimensions on this current view are measuring in a 3d space not the 2d view it appears to and should be. The attached drawing should show my issue more clearly. Any projected views off of this current view measure from the 2d drawing perspective correctly.

Anyone else have an issue with this? Is it intentional for some unknown reason? Even Isometric views measure their dimensions in the 2d plane they are displayed in by default.

This issue makes current view unusable for part dimensioning.
