IMPORTING PRO/E WILDFIRE 3.0 TO SOLIDOWRKS 2018 SP5.0

Hello All !!!

I am importing Pro/E Wildfire 3.0 part files into Solidworks 2018 SP 5.0 and re-defining the sketches so they are defined and dimensioned (See attached file). The first sketch is done and I am going on to the next sketch that is defined by a plane that is set by a depth (Cut-Extrude1 on Plane4). It seems that Plane4 is setting a depth for the cut (Slot), but I cannot figure out where the dimension of Plane4 is coming from. I right click on the plane to see if I can re-define it or if it will give me a dimension, but it does not. I can work around this, but it seems like every time I import something from Pro/E, all the sketches are given created planes for the initial sketch plane (See Plane4, Plane5, Plane6 and Plane7). These planes are not in the original design of the part in Pro/E so I assume it is a part of the import program.

Is it something I am doing (a setting in the Solidworks conversion program) or is it something in the import program???

Thanks,

Fred
