Hello,
My name is Ihor Pohorelov, I am a student of the National Technical University of Ukraine, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. My speciality is Automated and Robotic Mechanical Systems. I am currently working on a project with the Leibniz University of Hannover. The first task on my way sounds like this: A CAD file comes in, it has no construction history and is made in planes. Let's say it's a cylindrical part (maybe there were others) with a hole. We need to recognise this hole so that the programme can see it.
I've been working with SOLIDWORKS for quite some time now and would like to continue working with it on this project. I already have an Associate certificate and will soon take the Professional, but even with these skills, I haven't found a way to implement my project. I'm not asking you to provide me with a solution, although if one exists, I would be very grateful. I'm asking you to provide me with information, a best practice, or some idea that will help me get off the ground, because so far I haven't found how to solve this puzzle.
I have files that I can send you if necessary.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Ihor Pohorelov.
