Hello !!!

Attached my new challenge: 

I need the flat pattern of the surface you will see in the attached parts. I assume that first I need to convert the 3D model into sheet metal...

I am not skilled at all in sheet metal, so my question is:

It is possible to get flat pattern from curved surfaces?  I`m afraid not... Or yes?

If not, which should be the best approach? I mean, should I convert my 3D model first into a poligonal flat surfaces, in order to be able later on to convert it to a sheet metal ?

(The 3D model is a portion of a label I need to stick onto a  balloon, so that I need the flat pattern of it, or something close to it....)
