I have a part that includes a solid works part and a surface body. I can 3D print the part, but the extruded cut I made in the solid does not eliminate the elements of the surface body that are inside the extruded cut. I have not been able to figure out how to cut away the material represented by the surface body from the inside of the extruded cut.

I have not been able to successfully convert the surface body to a solid, so I guess I have two objects existing in the same space and overlapping, but not acting the way I need them to. Solidworks doesn't seem to allow me to do a surface cut either, but I am new to SolidWorks so I may just not understand how to do it that way.
