I just received a new workstation based on our IT company recomendation. 

Here are the specs:

HP Z420

Intel Xenon CPU E5-1620 @ 3.6 GHz

16.0 GB Ram

Windows 7 64bit

AMD Firepro V5800

1 TB HDD

The one main issue is that we are still using SW 2009 SP 4.0

So far I have been using this for about 4 weeks now.  Not too impressed.  Lot of lag time doing simple tasks at times. SW still crashes several times a week.

What is your feedback on the above machine setup?  We are looking at upgrading 6 more machines in the near future and would like to spec a good machine build.  Most of our work is in individual parts and assemblies having 2000-5000 parts, This includes all hardware.  No rendering.
