I have been testing solidworks on a new HP 850 G2 laptop... it has hybrid graphics and I can make the system run correctly.. have updated graphics drivers. turned off hybrid mode.
Trying to replace some older HP 8000 series laptops, but not having any luck with the newer laptop models.
Solidworks crashes.. running in software mode via solidworks rx runs slow and blocky, but no crashing.
Graphics card is:
Intel® HD Graphics 5500
Discrete:
AMD Radeon™ R7 M260X (1 GB DDR5 dedicated, dual graphics) (optional)
Anyone got any other tricks to try? I tried disabling hybrid graphics in the bios which is the usual fix for other 3d software.. but this one has me stumped.
Crashes at random.. dont even have to be using it.
