How to Trigger a Macro from Custom Properties apply button in User interface

Hello all, I would like to be able to trigger a VB macro when the user clicks the Apply button in Custom Properties interface. how can this be done? I want to be able to fill in the author field from my Custom Properties Designed by field. I have a Macro taht will copy this but I have to run it manually.
