Hi everyone,

I've imported a STL file from Mimics into the Solidworks. the file is the Left Ventricle of the heart (Aorta and Left Atrium ports are included), and I'm trying the cut or split the left atrium and aorta ports from the left ventricle. and then attach a flange, which I've draw in solid works, on top of the left ventricle (instead of the aorta and left atrium position). But I can modify this stl file in the SW. I think I should use "Split" or "Cut with Surface" commands to cut a section of my imported file, but all those commands and features are deactivated (shows in gray color). do you guys know what should I do?

Also when I import the STL file and the a flange part which I draw it in solidworks into the Assembly, there is huge different between the scale of the STL file and the flange part from sw. I've changed the scale but still its huge. I have to make sure about the size of my model before send it to print the mould with 3D printer.

I've attached the STL file and the flange file which I need to attach it on top of the left ventricle instead of aorta and left atrium. Also a picture of the sample mould that I want to print with 3D printer, to give you the idea of what I want to do.
