I'm working on a progam that stores information about solidworks features in an external mysql database.

I'd like to leave a mark with the solidworks feature to indicate to my add-in that a database entry exists.

this should be possible through the use of attributes.

I'd like my attributes to be invisible to the end user, as it wouldn't make much sense to them and just clutter up the feature tree.

it's implied in other discussions that this is possible, such as https://forum.solidworks.com/message/150064#150064  but I cannot figure out how to do it.

does anyone know how to do it? is it by using the undocumented "options"?
