I inserted a part into another part and then used a subtract combination in order to imprint the threading from the original part onto the inserted part. Now, however, I want the inserted part by itself - and I don't know how to do this. I want the part I inserted and changed with the combination feature to be its own part that I can continue to edit. Right now, the inserted part is just listed at the bottom of the feature manager which belongs to the original part that was subtracted, which no longer even graphically exists. I'm not sure how to separate the inserted part from the part I inserted it into, so that I can edit its features by itself without getting the "Dimension of a derived or driven feature can't be edited" error. Please help!
