How to properly perform a thermal simulation of a residual house?

Hi all,

Me and my team is trying to do a thermal analysis of a residual house in order to see the thermal profile of a house with various source of thermal leakages. I have already did a thermal analysis of a wooden door. However, I have encountered the following issues:

1, SolidWorks has limited selection of material and oak (the most common wood used in Canada for building door)'s thermal conductivity is not present. Hence performing a thermal analysis on it is impossible.

2. I used "convention" as the thermal load to simulate air temperature inside and outside of a house. However, when I apply it to different faces of the door, due to the fact that there's crack (simulated) in the door, the temperature seems to equalize each other and both surfaces eventually has the same temperature. How to work around it?

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer this question!
