I am creating drawings for a stud with multiple length configurations, but I have been unable to keep the dimension lines consistent across the different lengths.
I am using a macro to automatically generate the drawing for each configuration. However, when the configuration changes, the dimension lines extend or retract along with the dimension, resulting in an inconsistent appearance.
Ideally, I would like the dimension lines to remain a consistent length, matching the line circled in the top image, and have the dimension text positioned just to the left of the dimension line, regardless of the stud length.
Is there a way to achieve this using dimension line styles, or would it be better to control the dimension spacing within the macro itself?
