Hey everyone,

I'm running a random vibration simulation on a part and I'm not really sure how to interpret the results.

After running the simulation, I get the RMS von Mises stress and RMS displacement. The chart shows a maximum displacement of, say, 10 inches. Then when I animate the result, the maximum displacement changes to 3 inches. A similar result happens for stress as well.

My question is which result is the accurate one? Or are both accurate, and meant to be interpreted in different ways? I'd appreciate any insight you have on this problem as its been bugging me for a few days. Thanks!
