I am trying to create a fabric mesh in solidworks using chain links. At some point, if I make a large enough piece, I will need a way to fold it within the program. Because I am using chain links, a feature that will deform the shape of them is not necessary. Is there a feature in solidworks that can move parts around a certain profile all at once, rather than individually positioning them in the assembly? For instance, if I had a flat piece, like the one in the assembly I am attaching, would I be able to fold it like a piece of fabric? Is there a function that would let me set boundaries that would preserve the integrity of the linked mesh that would allow it to be moved in space without detaching from each other?
