I have a part with complex geometry that I would like to rough cut with a lathe. It is mostly cylindrical with some staggered features poking out radially. There is no planar cross section that captures all the features, it must be revolved to capture the complete roughing profile.
Is there a method in SolidWorks to create a "solid revolve" that would contain all the material I need to leave for all the features?
I know CAM software does it.
