I need to know, is there any easier & accurate method to draw  a  helix through a curve or draw helix through lofted structure. i need to  edit the helix structure. its only suitable for modeling springs.

• Is there any  method to make a helix by drawing the side view of helix on right plane.
• is  there any method to make helix by drawing  polygon or ellipse in sketch  / vary the shape in each revolution of helix
