I have an assembly file comprising nearly 1200 components including fasteners and need to illustrate the assembly in several exploded states each previous state showing the components assembled and each subsequent state showing the new components in an exploded state that need to be assembled.

I can not find that feature in SW.  I've used Solid Edge V14 and Pro-Engineer V19 with a fully configurable assembly state feature.  Does anyone know if SW 2009 has this?  If not, does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can accomplish my task?
