How to center the ends of a helical pipe so that they point outwards in opposite directions? (Laughable attempt included)

Hey everyone!

I'll start off by saying that this is my first post, so bare with me.

I hope the title sums it up pretty well, because that's the best way I can describe what I'm trying to do here.

As far as dimensions go:

Piping Diameter: .5 in
Spiral Diameter: 1.4 - 1.5 in

Pitch: Doesn't matter (as long as the piping doesn't overlap, of course), but I think I had it at .8in

Amount of Revolutions: Doesn't matter

TOTAL Length: 6 in

I need to constrain the total length to 6 inches. That means the length of the coil and the added length of the end of the pipes that have been centered on each side.

Is there any way to do this neatly and quickly?
Are the dimensions making it impossible?
I'd like to keep the largest possible piping diameter while keeping the length the same, and the total diameter of the coil, when taking into account the width of the piping, at 2 inches or under.
