I am building a custom fastener for our toolbox based on an existing fastener.
Essentially I want to create a UNC (Imperial) Nylon Insert Nut (Nylock, Prevailing Torque, etc.).
Such fasteners exist in AS, DIN and a few others in metric. But I cannot find such a fastener in any of the inch libraries. These fasteners exist in the real world quite commonly so I am surprised I can't find this anywhere.
My method was to:
- Start with a copy of "unified hex nut as-nzs" and add the nylon insert features to the model.
Add the new part to the toolbox libraryToolboxToolboxToolbox
But now, I need another column in Standard Properties -> Size so that I can set the length of the nylon insert/overall length of the nut.
But I don't see a way of doing this. Where does the Toolbox get this information from? I can't see any way of changing the "Standard Properties" of any toolbox item. If i start with a basic part the "Standard Properties" section is practically empty.
