Hi, I have a question that may fall more into the realm of geometry than Solidworks, but still thought this would be the best place to ask. If I draw a square (just as a simple test shape, dimensions don't really matter here) on the front plane, and on the right plane, I draw an arch top, like so (the orange line on the bottom left is where the square is drawn):
Then, using the swept boss/base feature, I use that arch top shape as the path and the box as the profile, giving something like this:
The bottom two lines will of course be 45 degree angle, however I'm not really sure how to get the angle of the top lines with respect to the horizontal - in this case, it's about 23.4 degrees, and if I make the arch on top a perfect half circle (like below), the angle would be 0 degrees (horizontal). Is there some kind of formula that I could use to obtain that angle? I'm having a hard time finding this online, but obviously someone has solved this problem. Thank you in advance!
