I am trying to figure out how to deal with rebuild errors that occurs during an ECO process. Let me explain. I have an ECO regarding a change on a child. This child is interchangeable and do not require a new part number. Only a revision change.

The child is used in a sub-assembly, which will get a revision change as well. However, all places where the sub-assembly is used is not part of ECO. Now, my issue start with the rebuild issues. All top or other sub-assemblies need to be rebuild. These assemblies are read only. How SolidWorks/EPDM deal with this rebuild errors? What will be the bast way to handle this type of situation and prevent the rebuild errors.
