Im often required to make modifications to existing products. These are generally heavy welded assemblies from the transport and agricultural sector.

Generally what happens is someone who knows whats required stands and points out what is required while I furiously sketch and scribble notes down and take photos.

Im interested in what others use in the way of collecting this information. ie tablets, cameras, sketching software or anything else.

Often the pen and paper is the best but lets see what comes up.
