I have a Solidworks block that I have put into my drawing. It's basically an overview of a machine our components mate up with.

I have a detail view for this match up, but the block won't display within the view.

I understand why it is not showing, it is a 2D format, where the detail view is a 3d format. It's essentially the same reason sketch items don't show up in the view.

Is there anyway I can make/force the block to display within the detail view?

Things I have tried:

• Originally I imported the block into an empty view, easier to move around. I then imported it so it is in the same view as the 3D model.
• Exploded the block
• Importing the block into the detail view separately.
