How do I see what is controlling a configuration?

Hi all,

I seem to remember asking this before but I cannot find anything in the forum along these lines...

Is there a way to see what elements of a design are controlling a configuration?

I can imagine setting up a configuration that has some mates suppressed and others unsuppressed and different values for offset mates and some components suppressed and others resumed... Not to mention Display States...

Is there a tool to interrogate a configuration to see how it was built, or what controls it?

I know that Configuration Tables are a great way to do this - but only if they're done initially.  I imagine a Design Table would provide a similar view into the configurations - but again - that would require some forethought and upfront work.

If I inherit an assembly and need to figure out how it works, I would want to see all of the elements controlling a configuration.  Am I overthinking this?  Are the any techniques for investigating the contributors to configurations?

Thanks,

-Nate
