I have both SW2014 and SW2015 installed on my machine.

I need to create a new part based on an imported STP file, in 2014. I click Open and select the appropriate file in SW2014, but it doesn't open. If I double click on the file, it opens perfectly in SW2015. I looked at the file associations and STP files are associated with SW2015. I attempted to change this association and selected SW2014, but it made no difference. The change did not stick.

How do I convince Windows 7 that I really do want to use SW2014 to open these files?
