Hello all,

The belt that I am modeling is a HTD double sided timing belt. I drew the belt in the shape which it is used in my design (which is oval) and now I would like to make it move on its pulleys. I have attached a few images of the mechanism.

I guess the essence of my quesion is if drawing the belt as a part file is the right way to go with this. I did this because it is important that I show the profile of the teeth on the belt for an animation not a smooth belt like the belt/chain function creates for you. Furthermore I require that the teeth of the pulley mesh exactly with the belt profile as the mechanism is moving.

How can I make my sketched belt operate as a belt does when using the belt/chain function?
