I'm trying to correlate a model with measured strain data.  The strain gages were positioned in an area where there are other part features obscuring the normal view of the strain gage surface.  Simulation will not allow me to ISO Clip when the Principal Strains are plotted as vectors.  I need to know the magnitude and directions of E1, E2, & E3 - with direction relative to the part (ultimately need the predicted strain in the same direction as the strain gage orientation). 

I can plot the strain as nodal values (realizing these are extrapolated from the element strain) and only display the nodes on the surfaces of the part.  This is ideal, but I can't determine angles of the strain relative to the part.....

Why doesn't the ISO or Section clipping work with vector plots?

Any ideas?
