How can I do a Clean Uninstall of SolidWorks

I have been having incredible problems with the Student Version of SolidWorks 2014 SP2.  For example, I want to continue with the drawing uploaded here to dimension the END DEVELOPMENT after this fashion

I get as far as I have, starting to mark out the development dimensions, and I cannot save my file.  If I click the SAVE button (or File --> Save) the button locks and can only be freed by ESC.  After that the whole program is frozen, it can only be closed by Task Manager.  Currently, I can close SWX, re-open it, load the drawing, save the drawing even without modification, and still get the freeze.

I have, today, downloaded the installation files for the program, uninstalled the existing installation, rebooted, installed the new copy from the disc.  Still have the same problem.  AFAIK that means that something has been fried in the registry or some part of the system, something is staying on the system after the uninstall, and has to be cured by a CLEAN uninstallation - no trace of SWX left on the system.

How can I do a CLEAN UNINSTALL?  (I am running on Windows 7.)

Alternatively, does anyone know of another cause, what might that be, and how do I fix that?

All help will be much appreciated.
