How can I define a thin cylinder that only transfer the tensile force?

I'm trying to model a eyeball attached by optic nerve. As a preliminary one, I made a simple model that is a hemisphere attached by thin cylinder.

I want to see the stress behavior of half sphere when thin cylinder moves such as pulling at 45 degree. I'm using Solidworks simulation tool.

So if hemisphere is pulled by thin cylinder in 45 degree direction to the coaxial line, the contact boundary, which is circular area between hemisphere and thin cylinder, must be affacted by both tensile and compressive force. But, I want to negate the compression effect by thin cylinder meaning that hemisphere needs to be affected by only tensile force from thin cylinder.

For that,  I tried to put the compressive strength of thin cylinder as nearly zero in the "apply material" tap, but it looks that hemisphere still experience compression by thin cylinder.

How can I ignore the compressive stress on hemisphere by thin cylinder?
