How can I create crossing pipes with natural bend?

I don't seem to be able to create an object in SolidWorks 2019 consisting of two intersecting crossing tubes.

I tried two different approaches, but failed right from the beginning (see down below).

The resulting object is supposed to resemble two intersecting Infinite loops. Here's a rough sketch of one such infinite loop (I created the sketch on Maxon Cinema 4D, using a sweep composed of a spline and a circle; the sketch lacks a fillet and refinement at the center part):

This is the same rough sketch, depicting the desired final object:

It's probable not obvious from the images above that the resulting pipe is supposed to be hollow, so, just for the sake of being unambiguous, here's an animated section view of the same pipe:

So, when I was trying to do the same on SolidWorks, I first unsuccessfully tried to create a part just like I did using Maxon Cinema 4D, consisting of one sketch depicting an infinite loop, another sketch depicting a circle, and applying a Sweep feature to both of them:

The sketch depicting the infinite loop wasn't recognized as a filled object, so the Sweep feature couldn't be applied.

So, I next tried to create just half of a loop using the same approach. I believe that I'd be able to join four of these loops appropriately in the end.

But this time I'm not able to have the Sweep feature generate a smooth junction between the polygon and the arc (see red highlight):

I'm stuck. What am I doing wrong?

Could I perhaps utilize the Pipes And Tubes add-in for such object?

Your help is very much appreciated.
