Wasn't 100% sure how to title/subject this one...

I have a need to do some drawings of things like hole patterns and such.  In cases like these, there is no "part" per se, just a drawing of a concept.

How is this best done in SolidWorks?

In the past, I've probably modeled an arbitrary shape with the desired hole pattern in it.  That's fine, but when I present them on a .slddrw, it means that some form of perimeter, which does not exist in actuality, is shown.
