Started up Solidworks makers this morning (09 Dec 2025) and was asked to update with a hotfix. I started as asked and it uninstalled everything and now wont reinstall, repair or remove. Its just gone with no clear route back. Any ideas? Ive no idea on versions as there is nothing left to look at.  

First attempt A window popped up and had loads of icons then it reported unistallation error and to check microsoft apps? who knows?

Second attempt same windows appeared but horribly corrupted flashing colours

Third attempt nothing happens after trying the only two availiable options;

Repair thinks its succeeded, it hasn't.

Remove thinks it secceded, it hasn't.

There is no install option.

I'm running latest Win11/Ryzen 7600x/32gb DDR 5/RTX4060 8GB all latest drivers.

Whats next?
