I just recently got SolidWorks 2008 SP4. Installed it for thefirst time, and tried to run through the "Create First" parttutorial. When I clicked on the Hole Wizard for the fist time ever,it threw a dialog box with the following error:
"Out of memory or other error trying to initialize data source fromstandards file: "C:\Documents and Settings\Ted\MyDocuments\HoleWizardFavorites.mdb"
Once I cleared the dialog it throws another dialog:
"Unable to setup a valid profile configuration"
I am running Windows XP Pro SP3, dual-quad core, 4GB of memory.
Thinks I have tried so far that have no effect:
1) Changing the Hole Wizard and Toolbox folder undertools->options
2) Changing the Hole Wizard Favorites db location undertools->options
3) Disabling Nortan Antivirus and completedly reinstalling fromscratch.
4) Running a repair installation operation
I notice that it never actually creates the HoleWizardFavorites.mdbfile in the first place.
I sent all this stuff to the VAR we bought SolidWorks from, andthey have been stuck trying to answe the question since last week.
Anyone on this forum have an idea of what to do to fix the problem?I am just blown away that I could run into a show-stopper afterusing SolidWorks for 20 minutes.
Thanks,
-Ted
