Hole Wizard, 3D Sketch, and Feature Driven Component Pattern - not

I got this great opportunity to use hole wizard on a 3D sketch where it could really count. I want to place like 30 identical wire wrap anchors on various faces of a frame, which is  made of various pieces of square tubing. The holes are all easy to place - 3D sketch works great. Then, in the assembly, I place one anchor and mate it up to one of the holes. Now for the component pattern. This is my first time in a 3D pattern and I'm all excited because it'll save so much work. But - oh no! - the anchors don't orient to the holes. They center on the holes, but they don't face the right direction.

What good is this? Is there a way to make it right?

While we're at it, I'd love to be able to apply mates to instances of a feature-driven pattern that would apply only to that instance. Any mates applied to the seed component should still apply. Any instance mates could only apply to any degrees of freedom left to that instance.
