Hi,
I have a part which contains a combination of hole sizes for cams, dowels and pins. It also has an irregular slot that is 51.50 long. The slot is done in a single operation created using a special bull nose drill bit which leaves behind lipping on both sides of the slot.
Usually I would just use a hole table for my hole positions, but the slot cut doesn't seem to like that very much i.e. the table isn't picking up the slot depth and the diameter of the semi-circular cuts. A message also popped up saying that since the hole is semi-circular, the origin/location of the circle is 'approximated'. Why is this happening?
Should I use ordinate dimensioning instead?
