Is anyone successfully using the "Hole Series" feature along with the "add fastener" option?

I've been doing some testing since we switched to 2012 and have not had good luck.

I guess I'm at the point of opening some calls with my VAR to see if there are issues with the functionality or if they are just issues with me not understanding the functionality.

Some of the issues are:

I put in 3/8-16 tapped hole for the end feature and SW picks a 3/8-24 Bolt.

I also updated plate thicknesses and my fastener lengths did not update.  The option for "Auto update length" is greyed out.

Any input would be appreciated.
