If anyone else saw my other post, I have been trying to design a "pressure vessel" and put fillets inside the vessel thinking it would lower my stress values, when in fact, adding internal fillets increased the stresses. I reran the sharp cornered version and another very similar version with round internal sides, and am again getting higher stress values for the "round" version. I have attached my results from LISA FEA ( I can slice open the model in LISA whereas I cannot in Solidworks) for the Von Mises stress. If someone could explain this it would help me a lot as I need to explain to my boss why I am getting these results. I cannot refine the mesh any further in LISA to check for convergence. The top picture is with sharp corners and the bottom picture is with sharp corners removed.
