I am trying to export the data from the point parameters of the flow simulation. And by export I mean copy and paste the table that solidworks provides after it finishes generating the points. My point parameters are on a single plane through my model.
My problems are:
- It takes an extremely long time for my point parameters to be created..and then it takes an extremely long time for it to show me the points that have been created, as a table. I understand this comes with the territory, especially depending on the model, but... is there any way to make this faster? I have already optimized both my computer's settings and solidworks' settings for the best performance.
I have already ran the flow simulation calculations..I don't understand why it takes so long to create these points... especially when in the end, I am not visualizing anything. It takes maybe 10 minutes to finish the flow simulation calculations on my entire model, and if I need to visualize the flow trajectories... with hundreds of thousands of points, colored with velocity, in 3D, and on a trajectory ... it takes maybe 20 minutes. Point parameters takes hours, for hundreds of thousands of points, where I just want the x,y,z coordinates and the corresponding velocity value of the points, in a table of text.
2nd question: Where is solidworks storing all of the point parameter data? or any of its data?... I would like to look at the raw data after it has been calculated and not have to ask solidworks to load it every time. I see things in the project's directory but I cannot tell what each file is for.
