Hello everybody

I need help with  patterning a part. I want to pattern a trolley through a path, but I want it to behave like it would do in real life (the trolley always perpendicular to the beam segment and following the curvature). The problem is that when using the pattern feature I can only make it work with "Aligned with original feature"  however that does not represent the correct behavior.

I did manage to make it work when the path did not have that V shape dropdown and the sketch of the path was not a 3DSketch. Is this a feature limitation or am I just using it wrongly ?
