Hello everyone,

I've been having a lot of trouble with this part I've been working on. I'm trying to model an angle iron designed for cross bracing a tower with a tab at both ends which would connect to the legs. The problem I'm having is that I can't figure out how to make the face of the tab coincident with the face of the leg, while still having the main part of the angle iron remain parallel to the front plane. I tried using sheet metal (lower part in the front view image) to model the bends but not sure how to bend the edge flange in this type of direction. I also tried just creating a part (higher part in the front view image) and make the tab using bosses and cuts but it doesn't look feasible (Also I was planning on mirroring the scaling the part after I connect the tab to the leg). I've attached the files, it should be noted I'm using the academic version so I'm not sure if that will work with users who have the regular version. But any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
