Hello everyone,
I'm having some trouble manipulating my drawing and could use some advice. The idea is to draw the cross section of a race vehicle chassis, whilst showing the position of the upright with relation the the roll, bump and droop of the chassis.
I was just wandering if the was a way to join a set of lines to be fixed in shape, but not in position. Basically i want 4 components in my drawing, the chassis, hub assembly and the wishbones.
Is there a more simple way than using smart dimension as this gets quite complicated and the drawing gets too cluttered with numbers (is there a way to remove the actual dimension from view, i.e like the layer function in autocad).
I have attached an image of what i have so far, the red box being the chassis, yellow the hub assembly and green the wishbones. I simply want each seperate component to be fixed in dimension but not in space, so that the chassis can be rotated and the change on the hub assembly can be seen.
Any help would be great
Cheers
