Rookie alert! I've only done a couple tutorials and exercises with SW Flow Sim, and do not have any CFD or thermal analysis background.
So one of our EE's has asked for the dissapated heat for a custom heatsink (attached) we use on a power supply PCBA. It is flat 5052-H32 aluminum. Is this something that I can set up in Flow and get a result that the EE can use to compare to other, off-the-shelf heat sinks (i.e. Aavid)? Or do I need to setup the whole power supply or PCBA to get this info? Any advice and or help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
John
