I have code which worked fine with SolidWorks 2024 but after an upgrade to SolidWorks 2025 the method

"GetModelDoc2()" does return null for most of the components. This was not the case in the previous version. there, if the assembly was loaded as resolved, each call return some ModelDoc2-object.

The assembly is always loaded fully resolved. No component is suppressed or lightweight.

In the settings under Tools->Options->SystemOptions->ExternalReferences->Load referenced documents the option "all" is set.

Does anyone have an idea ?

Is it necessary to specifically save the old data so that it gets converted to SolidWorks 2025 format?
