Gears with configuration

Dear friends,

I am working in my senior project right now and i have some doubts regarding configurations and gear drawing.

I am designing a gear box and in my countries stardard you are not suposed to drawn their teeths in

representations. All that must be drawn are the circles that are coincident with the external diameter, the

root diameter and the pitch diameter. Also, when gears are shown in a section view, their teeths must be left

un hatched and the "bodies" hatched. A dashed line must pass by the pitch diameter.

So far I've been representing all the gears as cilinders and manually drawing lines at the root of the teeth.

After this, I would hatch the appropriate area and draw the dashed lines. I wonder if there is any way to do

this automatically? Maybe drawn the gears as a two-body part (one internal cilinder for its body and another

for it's teeth)

Also, i would like to have a complete representation of the gears (with their teeths) on isometric views. I am

aware i should do it using configurations, by having a toolbox gear without any teeth for the regular views

and a complete gears for the isometric, but i can't seem to find ways to have the same toolbox element with

different configurations. Anyone know how to do that or something similar?
