I have been trying to use the toolbox in solidworks to create gears for a project i have been working on. For the most part when I drag a part from the toolbox into solidworks it gives me the option of configuring the part like it should and the part changes when I change its attributes. For gears however, especialy the spur gear, when I try dragging the gear into solidworks and try configuring the part and changing all of the attributes nothing changes on the gear. Sometimes some changes work like adding a key to the gear but for the most part nothing changes about the gear. Am i doing something wrong in trying to create and modify the gear? Or is there something wrong with my toolbox. please help.
