In SolidWorks Simulation, for the “Contact” interaction, my intent is to disallow to adjacent parts from passing through each other (but allow them to freely move apart) [I know this is super common]. I am getting confused, however, with the “gap range” and “stabilize the area if the gap is…” options. I’m inclined to dial these into the gaps that I have, but is this an error? IOW, should I go with the much larger defaults of the solver (10%, 1%)? Also, does one need to be the larger than the other? thanks
